The mission of Hidden Spirits is to discover and select the finest casks of Single Malt Scotch Whisky to create surprising and unforgettable independent bottlings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Before the creation of Hidden Spirits, Andrea was a whisky collector and whisky writer (blogger). He regularly flew to Scotland in order to understand the world of whisky and the industry behind it. With this knowledge he then created Hidden Spirits. Every label on a Hidden Spirits bottle is a special design by an Italian Artist.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Releases vary from younger \u2018High Proof\u2019 whiskies, to very high end old casks. Their name \u2018Hidden Spirits\u2019 already gives something away about the concept. Their mission is to create products that surprise and fascinate. Dried seaweed, bandages. Vegetal smoke. Some charcoal briquettes as well. But there\u2019s plenty of fruitiness too. Grilled pineapple, charred lemon peel, apricots. Then there are warm touches of oat cookies and honey, with finally a whisper of draff.<br \/>\n<strong>Taste<\/strong>: Soot, charcoal and bonfire smoke intertwined with a touch of rubber, lemon zest, apricots and nectarines. Also a subtle spiciness highlighted by nutmeg and aniseed. Extremely warming and inviting.<br \/>\n<strong>Finish<\/strong>: More of the above.
