| Distillery Information | Glenglassaugh is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky distillery located near Portsoy, Scotland. Established in 1875 by James Moir, the distillery is known for its coastal style, producing whiskies that embody the essence of land and sea. After being mothballed in 1986, it was revived in 2008 by new ownership, and later acquired by Brown-Forman in 2016.
The distillery offers a range of expressions, including the 12 Years Old, matured in bourbon, sherry, and red wine casks, and the Sandend, inspired by the nearby Sandend Bay, with tropical sweetness and a hint of sea salt. Glenglassaugh also produces peated whiskies, such as Portsoy, which features deep maritime flavors. – DISTILLED AT GLENGLASSAUGH DISTILLERY DISTILLED : 2010
